1 cup extra virgin olive oil
1 cup fresh basil
½ cup fresh Italian parsley
1/2 cup pine nuts*
½ cup fresh parmesan*
8 cloves garlic
Salt and pepper to taste
*optional
Add half cup olive oil in food processor and quickly pulse with basil and garlic. Turn processor to low setting and slowly add half of remaining olive oil (1/4 cup) and pine nuts. Blend together until mixture begins to become smooth. While still running, add parmesan and remaining olive oil until desired thickness – salt and pepper to taste.
